Island Marine Institute Reef Balls In Sept. of 1999, Cindy Dawson
from the Catalina Island Marine Institute in California reported 1/2 of the
planned 30 Reef Balls were installed in the bay. The remaining Reef Balls
were put down in October. Cindy was delighted with the results, reporting
eels, lobsters, octopus, fish and algae growth within the first month.
This project was funded by a mold grant from the Reef Ball Foundation.
